Big fat Indian weddings are incomplete without food delicacies. Recently a uniquely designed menu card at a Bengali wedding has gone viral on social media.

The menu card, which has been printed on a wooden ruler of 30-centimetre scale is dated 2013.

The feast was for the wedding of Sushmita and Animesh in Siliguri, West Bengal.

Take a look at the creative wedding menu card:

“Measure and eat, for that,” the post is captioned.

The list of dishes being served at the wedding was printed on the ruler. The dishes included fish kalia, fried rice, mutton masala and mango chutney, among others.

The wedding menu card is doing rounds across social media platforms. Netizens were impressed with the creative wedding menu card idea, with some joking that the ruler could be used to measure how much food guests were eating.

One user said, “Please don’t use it to hit if someone wants to eat more.” Another wrote, “Innovative style menu for Bengali wedding! On the back of a ruler! So you can ‘measure’ how much you eat!!”

A third user recalled, “We as little kids were terrified of these scales.”
