Bengaluru: 1,221 city police infected, 11 dead in second wave of Covid-19

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Police informed that around 1,221 policemen in the city have contracted Covid-19 in the second wave of the pandemic while 11 have died due to the virus.
On Tuesday, May 11 31 policemen tested positive. Among them, 24 had taken both doses of the vaccine while four had taken just the first dose.
“Currently, there are 803 active cases among policemen. Of them, 755 policemen are in home isolation. A total of 40 personnel were discharged from hospitals on Monday. So far, 407 police staffers have been discharged,” Bengaluru police said.
