In the aftermath of the tragic firecracker explosion in Attibele that claimed several lives, Bengaluru witnessed two separate fire incidents.
A fire broke out in an Agarbatti manufacturing unit at a home located on Pipeline Road in Cholarapalya due to a short circuit. Fire brigade units swiftly responded, successfully bringing the blaze under control. One individual identified as Ravikumar sustained injuries and was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The production of Agarbatti was in progress within residential premises when the sudden ignition occurred. The ensuing chemical fire spread, engulfing the surroundings, and even affecting the adjacent road. Additionally, eight motorcycles parked in front of the residence were entirely consumed by the flames. The authorities from the Vijayanagar police station promptly arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection.
Transformer fire in Laggere:
In another incident, an electrical transformer in Laggere experienced a catastrophic failure, resulting in a fire. A scrap shop was severely damaged by the flames. Residents of an old age home situated nearby were evacuated to safety as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties. Thanks to the prompt response of the fire brigade, the situation is now under control.
