Bengaluru: 22 y/o student crushed by BMTC bus on Oct 10 dies

Bengaluru: A student named Shilpa Shree (22), who had been run over by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus earlier this month and was availing treatment at a hospital succumbed to injuries on Sunday.
On Monday, October 1, Shilpa who was a post-graduate student in Mathematics at Jnanabharathi Campus of Bangalore University tried to board a BMTC bus.
Reportedly, the bus driver had failed to stop the bus, due to which, Shilpa was crushed by the bus.
Meanwhile, the driver who had fled the spot after the incident was detained and booked by the Jnanabharathi Police. The charges were of negligence.
As per the reports of The New Indian Express, she had suffered severe injuries on her lower body and was put under medically induced coma.
