Bengaluru: A 26-year-old woman was found hanging at a house in the Kengeri area of Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old M Ranjita. Her husband, Manjunath who has been accused of an extra-marital affair, has been arrested following a complaint from the family of the deceased woman.

It is said that Ranjita and Manjunath got married in 2018 after they fell in love. But, their families were against their marriage.

A few months back, Ranjita gave birth to their second child and was staying at her mother’s house. Ranjita recently returned to her husband and was regularly fighting with him over his alleged extra-marital affair.

On Wednesday, Ranjita hanged herself from the ceiling when her husband went for a morning walk.

The matter came to light when a neighbor walked into the house after hearing the baby cry and found Ranjita hanging from the ceiling.
