Bengaluru: 28-yo bar dancer found murdered at her residence

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a 28-year-old bar dancer from Chhattisgarh was murdered in her house in Nrupatunga Layout, RT Nagar.
The deceased is Zara Imtyiaz, who was working as a dancer with a bar on Residency Road recently got engaged to a private firm employee.
Zara was found dead by her younger brother Mustafa in a pool of blood when he entered the locked house from the balcony on Saturday.
Mustafa told police Zara’s fiancé called him on Saturday because he was worried that she wasn’t answering her phone. “I went to her house and found the main door locked from inside. I could hear her mobile ringing. I peeped through the window and saw her lying dead in the hall.”
Police suspect the assailant bludgeoned Zara to death and escaped from the balcony. The main door was locked from inside, indicating that the killer was known to her.
Zara’s younger sister Alia lives with her husband in Jalahalli and her two brothers also stay nearby. They shifted to Bengaluru from Mumbai in 2016 after their parents’ death.
