Bengaluru: 3 arrested for abduction of laptop dealer

Bengaluru: The Chennammanakere Achukattu police arrested three persons, including a rowdy-sheeter for allegedly abducting a laptop computer dealer for ransom.

The accused have been identified as Kiran Kumar (35) of Hanumangirinagar in Chikkalasandra, Somashekar (36) of Sarvabhouma Nagar and Arun Kumar alias Sunami (32) of Thyagarajanagar.

A car, a baton, and a mobile phone used in the crime have been seized from the accused. Another accused, Anil Kumar, is absconding.

The accused had abducted Sandeep Kumar (32), a laptop and computer dealer, a resident of Ittamadu, on August 30 over a financial dispute. They had taken him to Tamil Nadu and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakhs.

Sandeep, who escaped from the accused, lodged a complaint with the police.
