Bengaluru: Hebbal police arrested three individuals on charges of creating fake voter IDs in Hebbal Assembly Constituency.

The accused have been identified as Mounesh Kumar, Bharat and Raghavendra. The arrests were made following a report by Election officer (ERO) confirming that the IDs were fake, police said.

The accused were running a cyber center called MSL Techno Service in the Hebbal area. Police had raided the premises following a case registered in Vidyaranyapura, alleging that fake Aadhaar cards of Bangladeshi women were being produced at the center.

At that time, several fake identification cards including Voter IDs, Aadhaar Cards, Driving License and PAN Cards were found. Owner Mounesh Kumar, Bharat and Raghavendra were detained and interrogated.

Last week, Hebbal police arrested Mounesh and later released him on bail.

Police had also written to the ECI for verification of the seized documents.

Following this development, a delegation of BJP leaders filed a complaint with the Election Commission demanding that the case be handed over to the CBI and NIA. In addition, a petition was submitted to the Election Commission of India seeking the disqualification of Minister and Hebbal MLA Byrathi Suresh.
