Bengaluru: 5 booked for breaking night curfew by taking joyride; car seized

Bengaluru: Five people, including two women, have been booked for allegedly violating the night curfew in Bengaluru by taking a joyride.
A video of the incident purportedly showing the accused sticking their heads out of a car’s windows, standing through the sunroof, dancing and chatting as they drove past Sankey Lake, had gone viral.
The accused were travelling in a luxury Mercedes-Benz car which is owned by a prominent businessman from Bengaluru. The owner has been booked under Sections 279 (Rash driving) and 336 (Acting rashly or negligently as to endanger human life) of the Indian Penal Code.
Sadashivanagar crime and traffic police have also seized the car.
