The accused have been identified as Ashif, Nawaz Pasha, Liyakat Paha, residents of Handenahalli village and Salman Khan, a resident of Marasandra village.
On September 25, the accused surrounded the car in which the woman and a male relative were having snacks and soft drinks.
They claimed to have recorded a video of the duo and threatened to post it on social media. They demanded Rs 5 lakh from the duo. They also pulled out the woman from the car and allegedly sexually harassed her.
However, the accused fled the spot after they saw a group of cattle grazers passing by the area. The cattle grazers rescued the woman and her friend.
