Bengaluru: According to CoWIN dashboard data, nearly 58.8 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in Bengaluru Urban along with the area under the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to people aged 18 and above till Sunday.
This means that over 50% of the city’s eligible population, which is about 99 lakh, has received at least one dose of the vaccine.
However, it is said that within days of setting a record for vaccinations, Bengaluru is reporting a shortage of doses. Recently, people turning up at vaccination sites were sent back due to non- availability of vaccines.
