Bengaluru: 65-yr-old dies after scooter hits fallen tree amid rain

Bengaluru: A 65-year-old man died when his scooter hit a fallen tree on the road, which had uprooted due to heavy rain, in Jayanagar on Monday.

The incident occurred around 4.30 am when the deceased, who is a hotelier, was heading to his restaurant.

The deceased had fallen off his scooter after hitting the tree and had suffered severe injuries.

On Sunday, Bengaluru reported heavy rains leading to waterlogging in many parts. Also, three trees got uprooted in the city.

Also, BBMP recorded waterlogging issues in many localities.
