Bengaluru: ACB arrests stenographer for taking Rs 1 lakh bribe

Bengaluru: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a stenographer attached to sub-registrar’s office in Bengaluru’s Malleswaram for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
The ACB had received a complaint from an association member of BESCOM contractors association in the matter.
According to the ACB officials, the accused stenographer had reportedly demanded Rs 1 lakh to begin the election work.
Similar incident was reported from Pune where a regional head of the Agri division of Ratnakar Bank branch in Ahmedabad was arrested for taking bribes.
