Bengaluru: BJP Cow Protection cell to perform 24-hour Gau Yagna

Bengaluru: A 24 hour ‘Gau Raksha (cow protection) Ashtayama Yagna’ will be organised by the Cow Protection Cell of the state BJP on Febrauary 2 at Sri Sathya Ganapathi temple ground, Puttenahalli, J P Nagar 6th Phase.

The Yajna will start in the morning with the chanting of Akhanda Ramayana, will end on February 3. The Yajna is being held to create awareness among people about the “multi-dimensional” importance of cows and the need to protect them to strengthen the rural economy.

A dance event titled ‘Sri Rama’s wedding’ is also scheduled to be performed in this event. A special theatre troupe from Janakpuri, the birthplace of goddess Seetha will be performing the dance event.

State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, Union Minister Ananth Kumar, MLAs B N Vijaykumar and Sathish Reddy will be participating in the Yajna.
