Bengaluru: The death toll in the building collapse in Babusapalya has risen to nine, police said on Friday.
On Friday (Oct 25), a body was recovered from under the debris during ongoing rescue operations, bringing the death toll to nine, according to police .
A senior police official said that the deceased has been identified as Ezhumalai.
Following the incident, which occurred on Tuesday amid heavy rainfall, teams from the Fire and Emergency Services, the National Disaster Response Force, and the State Disaster Response Force have been engaged in rescue efforts.
Police have registered a case related to the building collapse and arrested two individuals, including the building’s owner.
A case has been filed against the accused under the BNS, BBMP, and RERA regulations.
