Bengaluru: Police carried out a raid inside Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison and seized ganja packets and smoking pipes from the cells.
Teams comprising two DCPs and 15 inspectors raided the prison during the early hours, and along with the prison staff searched the premises on Tuesday.
The raids were reportedly conducted based on a tip-off that gangsters and rowdies are continuing to operate from inside the prison. However, officials did not find any mobile phone during the search.
In July, police had raided the prison and seized knives, marijuana, mobile phones and SIM cards.
