Bengaluru: After repeated attempts, Mumbai Police have received the custody of underworld don Ravi Pujari from a Bengaluru special court till March 9.
Pujari has been taken into custody by Mumbai Police in connection with the firing incident in Mumbai’s Vile Parle on October 21, 2016.
Seven associates of Pujari are already in jail in connection with this case.
The gangster was brought to Mumbai by road from Bengaluru on Tuesday morning, a police official said.
Ravi Pujari, a native of Udupi in Karnataka, has been convicted in more than 49 cases.
He had been hiding abroad for many years and was brought to India from South Africa in February last year and was placed in a Bengaluru jail.
