Bengaluru: Domestic help threatens man to leak his indecent pics, extorts money

Bengaluru: A 30-year-old house help was arrested for allegedly blackmailing and extorting Rs 1.2 lakh from her 55-year-old ex-employer in Bengaluru.
It is said that the accused, identified as Sonia, worked at the house of the man for six years, she left the job at his house owing to the lockdown.
Later, when she came back the employer denied to recruit her as he had already hired someone else. Enraged by this, she began blackmailing him using his pictures.
“In August, she sent me a few indecent photographs of mine. She might have taken them while I was sleeping. Also, as I was under medication I have been using sleeping tablets since 2016. She threatened to upload them on social media and demanded money if I didn’t want her to do so,” the complainant stated.
At first she demanded Rs 1.5 lakh from him, he agreed to give the amount to her. Later, she demanded Rs 15 lakh and the man unable to bear the torture filed a complaint against her.
Sonia also confessed to the crime and police found many indecent pictures of him on her phone.
