Bengaluru: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday seized 995 grams of methamphetamine worth Rs 1.5 from an Uganda national at Hubballi Railway Station.
The drugs were concealed in two cerelac baby food carton boxes and each box contained around 500 grams of Methamphetamine.
They were seized from the possession of a Ugandan woman, who was travelling in a train with the drugs. The drug was sourced from Delhi for further distribution in Karnataka.
With this arrest, the drug syndicate that was operating in the southern regions in a unique and systematic manner has been neutralised by the NCB.
