Bengaluru: Engineering student jumps to death after being caught cheating in exam

Bengaluru: An engineering student died after jumping off the 9th floor of a building on the college campus.
The deceased has been identified as Aditya Prabhu (19), a resident of Girinagar.
According to sources, Prabhu was a native of Mangaluru and lived with his parents in Brigade Apartment on Bannerghatta Road. He was studying in the second semester of B.Tech at a prestigious college.
According to sources, Prabhu was caught copying from a mobile phone during an exam that was held on Monday. The invigilator informed the college management about the incident. The management on its part informed his parents to come to the college.
In a panic, Prabhu jumped off the 9th floor of a building on the campus and died, police said.
A case has been registered at the Girinagar Police Station in this regard.
