Bengaluru: Event planned on July 23 to celebrate ‘World Kundapura Kannada Day’

Bengaluru: An event to celebrate World Kundapura Kannada Day is set to be held on Sunday, July 23.
The ceremony is being organized under the auspices of like-minded individuals under the platform ‘Kundapra Kannada Pratisthana, Bangalore’, said Deepak Shetty Barkur, president of the foundation, at a press conference.
The ceremony will take place from 9 am to 9 pm at Bantara Sangha Bhavana in Atthiguppe, Vijayanagar in Bengaluru. The program will be inaugurated by Shantarama Shetty Barkur. Kundapur MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi and Byndur MLA Gururaj Gantihole will also participate in the event.
The closing ceremony, scheduled for 4.30 pm, will be attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, MLA M. Krishnappa, Chairman of the Commission for Backward Classes K. Jayaprakash Hegde, and Bangalore Bantara Association President M. Muralidhar Hegde, among other dignitaries.
Notable personalities like Kannada film star actor-director Rishabh Shetty and Pramod Shetty will also grace the occasion. Furthermore, Prof. AV Navada and renowned music director Ravi Basrur will be honored during the event.
This marks the fifth World Kundapura Kannada Day, and this year’s celebration promises to be grander than ever. The ceremony is organized under the auspices of like-minded friends, brought together by the platform ‘Kundapra Kannada Pratisthan, Bangalore.’ In a press conference, Deepak Shetty Barkoor, the president of the foundation, shared more details about the Kundapra Kannada festival.
Kundapura Kannada Day is a festival that showcases the cultural heritage of Kundapura, including linguistic richness, customs, arts, sports, diverse food, and more.
