Bengaluru: Foreign national held for drug trafficking; MDMA & ecstasy tablets seized

Bengaluru: The Hulimavu Police has arrested a foreign national for drug trafficking, based on an informant’s tip, said Bengaluru City Police.

The accused used to sell drugs near the Maruti Dental College. MDMA and ecstasy tablets have been seized from the accused person’s possession. Moreover, a reward of Rs 20,000 has been announced for the police team.

Earlier, on June 30, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested a foreign national woman who landed at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) with drugs worth Rs 56 crore.

The woman has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 for trafficking drugs.
