Bengaluru: Frustrated over father’s deteriorating health, man attacks doctor & nurse

Bengaluru: Frustrated over father’s deteriorating health condition post-COVID-19, his son allegedly thrashed a doctor and nurse in a Bengaluru hospital.

The accused has been identified as Jagadish (26), a resident of Devarachikkanahalli off Bannerghatta Road

The doctor was explaining to the family about the patient’s worsening lung infection, when the son allegedly flung his phone in the doctor’s face and attacked him and a nurse.

The hospital called in the police and later filed a complaint, saying the life of healthcare workers was at risk.

A complaint has been registered under the state’s law to prohibit violence against medicare service personnel. He was later released on bail.
