Bengaluru: Gang of 6 abduct, rob student of Rs 1.2 Lakh; Arrested

Bengaluru: Six youths have been arrested for kidnapping and robbing a student of Rs 1.2 Lakh in Bengaluru.
The arrested accused are Anil Kumar, Nishchay, R Prajwal, K Prajwal, all residents of Yelahanka, along with Deepu and Bhuvan of Vijayanagar. Deepu and Bhuvan are classmates of Abhishek. Anil and K Prajwal worked in a BPO and R Prajwal is a cabbie.
The incident took place on November 18 and the victim lodged a complaint on November 21.
The victim identified as Abhishek R, a resident of Papareddypalya was kidnapped from Nagarabavi BDA Complex and was taken to Devanahalli, where they robbed him and made him sign on stamp papers.
He was set free at 5 pm after he signed on stamp papers that stated he had taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh from them.
The accused took Rs 70,000 from Abhishek, Rs 27,000 was withdrawn from his debit card and he was forced to transfer Rs 20,000 online.
