Bengaluru: Girl celebrating her 20th birthday killed in fatal accident

In a tragic incident, a girl was killed on the spot after being run over by a goods van near the Hebbal flyover on Friday morning.

The deceased Megashtin had ventured out for a bike ride with her friend Narasinga Perumal on the occasion of her 20th birthday.

According to the police Narasinga lost balance over his bike after he rode over a branch and fell to his left while Megashtin who was riding pillion fell to the right. A goods van which was coming from the rear ran over her killing her on the spot. Perumal sustained minor injuries in the mishap.

Police arrested the van driver and a case has been registered.
