Bengaluru: Gold chains worth Rs 52 lakh seized; 3 arrested

Bengaluru: Three people were arrested and 18 gold chains, estimated to be worth about Rs 52 lakh, were seized in Bengaluru, the city’s Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Patil said on Saturday.

The chains were linked to chain snatching cases of KR Puram, Yelahanka, Hebbal, Banashankari and Sadashivanagar, he added.

Taking to twitter, Patil said, “CCB team led by PI Hazresh detect 18 chain snatching cases..3 accused arrested and Rs 52 lakhs worth of Gold chains seized..cases of KR Puram, Yelhanka, Hebbal, Banashankari, Sadashivnagar detected.”

The police were on the lookout for the accused since 2016.
