Bengaluru: Six persons were arrested by the police for the gruesome killing of a youth using a brick to smash his head.
The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Balappa Jamakhandi. The accused are Premavva, Akka Mahadevi, Manjunath, Kiran, Channappa, and Kashinath, while a search is on for Saroja, who is absconding.
The murder caught on camera shows the group dragging Balappa, before smashing his head with a brick.
The video shows the group pinning Balappa down while a woman picks up a brick and starts smashing him. The group members then take turns hitting the man with the brick.
Manjunath Balappa succumbed to his injuries later.
As per reports, Manjunath Balappa, worked as a loan recovery agent and was in a relationship with Saroja. However, their relationship got strained after he allegedly started harassing her. He was also facing assault and attempt to murder cases in Yadgir and Davanagere districts.
Fed up with his harassment Saroja hatch a conspiracy to kill him. She allegedly involved her mother Premavva and other accused persons, who are her relatives to murder him.
