Bengaluru has been successful in controlling COVID-19: DVS Gowda

Bengaluru: Union Chemical and Fertilizer Minister D V Sadananda Gowda stated that Karnataka has been successful in controlling COVID-19 and has managed the situation efficiently.

Gowda was speaking after a meeting with state ministers, MLAs and officials in Bengaluru.

He added that in terms of control of COVID-19 compared to other cities in the country Bengaluru is in the first place. He congratulated the team of experts led by Dr C N Manjunath for this.

He further said the State has been successful in controlling COVID-19. Similarly in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has managed to cope with the situation. We have received praises from the world for it.

About 800 to 900 cases of COVID-19 reported in the State are returnees from other States, said Gowda. He added that the number of COVID-19 tests has increased as there are more laboratories in the State.

Fertilizer inventory in the State is in adequate numbers for the monsoon, farmers should not be worried, the minister said.
