Bengaluru: State DG-IGP Alok Mohan has ordered police to patrol public areas for a total of five hours daily, from 9 AM to 11 AM and from 6 PM to 9 PM.

In Commissionerate jurisdictions, DCPs will lead the patrols, while in districts, SPs will oversee the operations.

Police must visit crime scenes when major incidents occur, and respective IGPs and additional police commissioners should visit police stations.

Security should be increased near schools and colleges. Legal action must be taken against those who make hate speeches or provocative statements. Regular peace meetings and public forums should be organized in urban areas, the order says.
