Bengaluru: A jilted lover threw acid on a 23-year-old woman in Bengaluru on Thursday, April 28.
The accused identified as Nagesh threw acid on the victim while she was on her way to work on Thursday morning. The victim sustained severe burn injuries and was shifted to a private hospital.
It is said that the victim had allegedly rejected Nagesh’s love proprosal which had angered him. He then planned to carry out the acid attack.
A manhunt has been launched for the accused.
