Bengaluru: In preparation for the forthcoming Bengaluru Kambala event at the Palace Grounds, the much-anticipated ‘Kudi Kambala’ is slated to commence on Wednesday.
Filmmaker Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar will inaugurate the festivities at 10 am within the specially constructed arena at the 5th gate of the Palace Grounds.
The preparations are underway in full throttle, diligently preparing the grounds for the main event. Intensive efforts are underway, with the organising committee tirelessly arranging the platform, seating, and parking facilities.
Concurrently, the registration of stalls is progressing swiftly, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
What is ‘Kudi Kambala’?
Kudi Kambala serves as a preparatory session leading up to the Kambala competitions in coastal areas, usually held a month prior to the start of the event. It acts as a training ground, featuring a rehearsal race.
Two pairs of buffalos, arriving from Mangaluru, are set to partake in the Kudi Kambala trail, setting the stage for the upcoming maiden Bengaluru Kambala.
The track painting between the start and finish lines is underway. Lighting is being installed, including high mast lamps, in preparation for the Kambala night.
