Bengaluru: KSTDC inks MOUs with 2 firms to promote heli-tourism in K’taka

Bengaluru: Travellers can soon take helicopter rides to reach tourists spots in Karnataka such Chikkamagaluru, Coorg, Kabini, Badami, and others.
In a bid to encourage tourism, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has signed agreements with two private helicopter operators for providing heli-tourism.
KSTDC signed the MOUs valid for 5 years with Thumby Aviation Pvt Ltd and Chipsan Aviation Pvt Ltd, reports said.
As per the agreements, KSTDC will provide support to these agencies to get various government approvals and permits, certification, etc., and also assist in tying up with luxury hotels and resorts in the state, a TOI report quoted Tourism secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey as saying.
The agencies will also be given help in securing permissions to use government-owned helipads.
