Bengaluru: K’taka govt to implement contactless transport services from November 1; 30 services to go online

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has decided to implement contactless transport services from November 1 and around  30 services will be available online.

The preparations have been made to provide services as per the recommendations of Karnataka Administrative Reforms Commission – 2 and central government rules.

Rajender Kumar Kataria, principal secretary of the transport department said that this will reduce crowding in the RTO office as citizens will be able to avail these services from the comfort of their homes and without a single visit.

The services include:

  • Learner’s licence
  • Driving licence extract
  •  Issue of international driving permit
  • Registration of motor vehicle with fully built body
  • Change of name in learner’s licence
  • Change of address in learner’s licence
  • Duplicate learner’s licence
  • Temporary registration of motor vehicle
  • B-extract (registration details)
  • Transfer of ownership of motor vehicle
  • Grant of NOC/clearance certificate for vehicle
  • Endorsement of hire-purchase agreement/hypothecation
  • Continuation of hire-purchase agreement/hypothecation
  • Issue of duplicate registration certificate
  • Change in address in RC
  • Issue of permit for luxury taxi
  • Surrender of permit (permit cancellation)
  • Authorization for national permit
  • Issue of duplicate permit for goods vehicle & passenger/taxi vehicle
  • Fresh and renewal of home authorization
  • Issue of duplicate permit for auto rickshaw
  • Renewal of permit for goods vehicle
  • Renewal of permit for luxury taxi
  • Issue of permit for goods vehicle
  • Renewal of permit for auto rickshaw
  • Issue of conductor licence
  • Renewal of conductor’s licence
  • Issue of duplicate conductor’s licence
  • Change of address in conductor licence
  • Change of name in conductor licence.
