Bengaluru: A 21-year-old man was booked at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport for smuggling 115.2 gm gold worth over Rs 5 lakh in wheels of his trolley bag.
It is said that the man had flown down from Gulf and was a native of Kasaragod in Kerala.
The customs department suspects that the man was acting as a carrier for international gold smuggling gangs and that the gang offered him free tickets and small remuneration.
