Bengaluru: A 29-year-old man from Odisha allegedly fell to his death from the terrace of his friend’s four-storied building in Kottigepalya in Kamakshipalya police station limits on Saturday, December 31.

The deceased has been identified as Chandrakant Patra (37), a laborer in a bag manufacturing factory.

According to the police, Patra and his friends were residing in neighboring buildings. He visited his friend’s terrace on the fourth floor on Saturday night.

Later, Patra wanted to go home and he attempted to jump to the next building rather than use the stairs.  However, he lost his balance and fell from the terrace. Chandrakant Patra died on the spot.
