Bengaluru: BBMP Officials sealed Malleshwaram’s Mantri Mall over unpaid tax dues on Friday.
This is the mall’s third closure in six months.
The mall, a popular shopping destination, saw its entrances and several shops locked on Friday by civic authorities.
BBMP officials said the action was initiated as the mall had an outstanding property tax amount of approximately Rs 50 crores.
A senior BBMP official noted that while the outstanding tax was significantly reduced after the government introduced a one-time settlement scheme for property tax defaulters, the mall management did not settle the tax dues.
