Bengaluru: Miscreants set CPI main office on fire

Bengaluru: Unidentified miscreants set the main office of the Communist Party of India (CPI) in the heart of the city at Malleshwaram on fire. Six motorbikes parked near the building were also burnt down.

It is gathered that angry over CPI vociferously opposing the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC, who came in a motorbike at around 1 am on Wednesday sprinkled petrol on the building and ignited the fire.

Speaking with this regard, State secretary of CPI, Sathi Sundaresh warned that protest would be organized against this incident.

Vyalikaval police have registered a case in this regard and investigation is underway.
