Bengaluru: MLA from Gulbarga North Kaneez Fatima spotted attending the first day of the joint session of the Karnataka Legislature, on Monday, wearing a hijab.
A few days ago, Fatima had lashed out at the people who were bent upon preventing students from wearing hijab (headscarf) in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and other parts of Karnataka. Further, she had dared the people to stop her from attending the state assembly wearing a Hijab.
Being true to her words, Fatima attended the proceedings in a hijab. She had been wearing a hijab during earlier sessions of the state assembly too.
