Bengaluru: At least two people died and few others were injured in a fire that broke out at a private apartment at Bannergatta Road at Devarachikkanahalli on Tuesday, September 21.
The deceased are Lakshmi Devi (82) and her daughter Bhagya Rekha (59).
Reportedly, the deceased and their family had returned from America yesterday (Monday, September 20)
According to police, the fire broke out following a short circuit and the flame spread to three-four flats in the apartment.
The woman was trapped by a raging fire and the grills of her balcony, in difficult-to-watch visuals of a blaze in Bengaluru.
The grim 90-second clip, recorded by bystanders, shows the fire spreading quickly, leaving her no escape. Towards the end, she is seen on fire herself.
Though the fire spread to three flats, it has been brought under control
