Bengaluru: Nepali man murder case; 8 arrested

Police officials have arrested 8 people in connection with the alleged robbery and murder of Nepali man in Bengaluru.

The arrested accused have been identified as T Chandru, 28, Jeevan, 26, Karthik, 26, Kiran Kumar, 25, Madan, 24, Munesh, 25, Nikhil, 27, and Sachin, 30,  residents of Doddabidarakallu and Bagalagunte.

The incident occurred on November 13, when the victim Bohra and his friend were waiting for a cab on Tumakuru road. The accused who arrived in a goods auto and two bikes demanded money from Bohra.

Bohra refused to give them money after which the accused struck his head with a wooden log and fled the scene with Rs 5,200 and a phone.

The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Following this, a case was registered at the nearby police station and the accused have now been arrested. Two other suspects are still absconding.

Cops have seized Rs 5,200 cash, 1 goods auto and 7 mobile phones from the accused.
