Residents of C V Raman Nagar, Kodichikkanahalli, Gayathri Nagar, Hosakere, Singasandra, K P Agrahara, and Vijayanagar have approached the BBMP with grievances and requests to enable them to deplete the water that has gone into their homes. The parking spot at Vijayanagar metro station was likewise loaded with water.
Chairman R Sampath Raj said that the BBMP is prepared to deal with the circumstance. “We have sent praharis (watch vehicles) at every one of those spots where water has entered homes. Indeed, even the uprooted trees have been removed. There won’t be any untoward circumstance,” he said.
This rainfall was due to low pressure over Lakshwadeep and connecting South East Arabian Ocean with an upper air cyclonic course reaching out up to 1.5 km over the Mean Sea Level.
