Bengaluru: Plot measuring 840 sqft sold for Rs 1.30 cr, owing to Vaastu

Bengaluru: A plot measuring 840 square feet (78 sq. meters) was sold for Rs.1.30 crore in an e-auction of the sixth phase of the Bengaluru Development Authority. As the plot had the fancy number 1000 which is known as the best in terms of Vaastu.

About 92 people bid for nearly one lakh per square meter, in order to buy this plot located on the third block of Sir M Vishweshwaraiah extension.

The base price of the plot was Rs 30.42 lakh but the final bidder, Cheluvaraju bought it for Rs. 1.67 lakh per square meter.

Talking about the intent of bidding higher, Cheluvaraju said, ” Due to prestige issue, I bid highest for the plot to get it at any cost. Now I am in a dilemma whether to buy the plot or not as I am facing difficulties in paying the amount.”
