Bengaluru: Police arrest man, who beat 32-yo woman & threw her out of temple

Bengaluru: A man was arrested by the city here for allegedly pulling a woman’s hair and dragging her out of a temple.

The arrested is Munikrishnappa, in charge of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Amruthahalli.

Case details:

A woman who claimed to be Lord Venkateshwara’s wife insisted on sitting next to the Lord’s statue. She was then thrashed, pulled by her hair, and dragged out of a Bengaluru temple. The incident is from December 21 but has come to light now after the woman filed a complaint with Amruthahalli Police Station.

In the video which had gone viral man is seen pulling the woman by her hair across the temple floor. As she resists, he lunges for her dupatta and continues to push her out the temple door. The woman resists. At this point, he starts slapping her and then reaches out for a rod to thrash her. The woman is shielded by another person.
