Bengaluru: Police detect new ATM fraud operation

Bengaluru: A new modus operandi of financial fraud has been detected by police here.
Fraudsters offer help to gullible people at ATMs and after the cash is ejected out secretly block the sides of the cash dispensing mouth. This causes the ATM machine to temporarily hang and also makes it not send an SMS to the ATM user about the withdrawal.
The fraudsters then file a complaint stating that they did not receive the money and then receive the amount again from the ATMs.
The police recently followed one such gang in the city here and arrested one of their members.
