The recruitment exam for 402 Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) positions will be held on October 3 across 163 centers in six cities: Bengaluru, Vijayapura, Shivamogga, Kalaburagi, Dharwad, and Davangere.

A total of 66,990 candidates are eligible to take the exam, with the highest number of applicants (21,875) appearing in Bengaluru.

Strict measures have been implemented to prevent any malpractice during the exam. Candidates must report to the exam centers at least 30 minutes before the start time. They are advised to arrive early for security checks, as latecomers will not be allowed entry.
Additionally, all candidates are required to adhere to the prescribed dress code, according to H. Prasanna, Executive Director of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Cameras have been installed in all exam rooms, and a webcasting system has been arranged to monitor all activities at the centers. Mobile jammers will be deployed to prevent the use of electronic devices such as Bluetooth in and around the exam halls.

ENT Specialists appointed for monitoring

In previous exams, incidents were reported where candidates attempted to cheat by using hidden electronic devices placed in their ears. To prevent such incidents, an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist will be stationed at every exam center to keep an eye on potential violations.
