Bengaluru: A rowdy who was a habitual criminal was hacked to death by unidentified men on Monday at Nanjappa Layout near the Yelachenahalli metro station.
The deceased has been identified as Kumar, who has murder, attempt to murder and other cases file against him. The incident took place when Kumar had come to Nanjappa layout in the evening.
Five men confronted Kumar and started attacking him. They threw chilli powder on him. Kumar tried to escape and started running. But the men chased him for a kilometre and attacked him with lethal weapons. Though Kumar was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to injuries.
The Kuamaraswamy layout police have registered a case. The police are suspecting personal rivalry to be the reason for the murder.
