Bengaluru: Depressed after her husband’s death due to Covid, a woman tried to hang her two minor daughters before attempting suicide herself in Dibbur village near Yelahanka.
It is said that the woman Varalakshmi had lost her husband Puttaraju two months ago and was depressed since then.
She allegedly tried to kill her two daughters and attempt suicide, on Monday. However, the younger daughter ran out of her house in a cry for help.
Neighbors came running to the house, brought down the two, and took them to the hospital. However, the hospital declared the elder daughter dead on arrival and admitted Varalakshmi.
