Bengaluru: The Peenya Police arrested a security guard for allegedly kissing a college student residing in a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Peenya.
The accused, identified as Rudrappa, allegedly kissed a 19-year-old student from West Bengal around 11:30 p.m. on October 24. The student, enrolled at a nearby college, complained to the police that while retrieving a lighter from the PG’s staircase, the accused embraced and kissed her.
The student immediately informed the PG’s owner and female warden. When they arrived, they comforted her, but reportedly deleted CCTV footage of the incident.
The victim, however, filed a complaint with the police, leading to Rudrappa’s arrest. The police are also initiating legal action against the PG owner and warden for allegedly tampering with the CCTV footage.
