Bengaluru: Six held for stabbing to death elderly man

Bengaluru: Police have arrested six persons in connection with stabbing to death an elderly man after he objected and asked them not to indulge in wheeling and smoking in front of his residence.
According to DCP (West) Sanjeev M Patil on Friday, the incident had taken place near Mary Matha Church in the K.P. Agrahara police station limits on March 11.
The deceased, identified as Thomas had also complained about the gang’s behavior to the father of one of the accused and asked his family to advise their son in this regard. The accused was at home at the time and overheard their discussion.
Later the accused called out Thomas asking to talk to him but instead stabbed him with a dagger and knife. He then fled the spot. Thomas was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to the injuries.
Police have arrested the accused and confiscated weapons used for the act. Two other accused are absconding a search has been launched to nab them.
