Bengaluru: Indian weddings are known to be a grand affair. For many people, a marriage ceremony is the biggest party they throw in their lifetime but due to the COVID-19 lockdown, people are forced to marry virtually or with very fewer guests.
In one such incident, parents watched the wedding of their son and blessed him on WhatsApp at Koduru village in Hosanagara Taluk.
Koduru-based astrologer Lakshmi Narayana Jois’ son Shivaschanrda Jois married to Kayva, daughter of Shailaja and Chandrashekar on Wednesday morning at 7.30 am.
Earlier it was decided to have a wedding at Sri Chandrasekhar Bharathi Kalyana Mandir at Shankarapuram Pampa Mahakavi Road, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru.
However, they had to cancel the wedding at the venue due to the COVID-19 lockdown and decided to arrange a simple wedding in the basement of their apartment in the city.
